Filmoteca d’Estiu de València is the outdoor film programme organised every summer by the Institut Valencià de Cultura. It brings the Filmoteca experience to the gardens of the Palau de la Música, in Valencia’s former Turia riverbed, presenting a selection of contemporary cinema, award-winning films, classics and thematic programmes, all screened in their original language.
A nocturnal experience whose visual concept explores light and the moment of projection. It also pays homage to Spanish television, recalling one of the country’s iconic programmes from the 1990s: Historias para no dormir, by Chicho Ibáñez Serrador.
